<CHAPTER 05>
Someone was trying to stop the marriage, yet this bold girl was saying she wanted to sleep together—what should he even do about that.
Kwon Sunjae tapped lightly on his phone screen with his finger.
He didn’t even realize she was trying to make everything as if it never happened, and at the same time, he didn’t have the heart to refuse a woman who said she wanted to sleep with him.
Besides, once she slept with him, this young girl would quickly realize she had done something she couldn’t handle and turn away on her own.
With a small chuckle, Sunjae slowly sent a reply to Yeoreum.
‘Interesting.’
Rolling his ankle lazily, Sunjae turned his head and stared out the window.
The anger that had once filled him to the top of his head had already subsided.
Thinking about tangling himself with that cheeky girl in bed already sparked his interest.
Just how much will she be able to satisfy me?
Still, she’s young… I shouldn’t let all my desire out.
She probably doesn’t even have the stamina to handle all of it anyway.
‘If it’s a relationship that ends in one time, there’s no need for consideration.’
Sunjae, who had briefly considered showing a bit of consideration, quickly changed his mind.
He shouldn’t plant false hope in a young girl with half-hearted kindness.
It was simply a relationship where such shallow consideration wasn’t needed.
Yeoreum hesitated deeply over whether to send a message to Sunjae or not.
Since the blind date, there had been no contact from him, and it was only making her anxious.
At home, they kept pressuring her about why she wasn’t meeting him again, and each time, she avoided answering by saying he was busy.
But excuses about being busy only worked once or twice—now she had nothing left to say.
In the end, the only option left was to send a message to the phone number on the business card he had given her when they first met.
“Calling… might make things awkward… and since it’s morning, if I leave a message, he’ll see it when he has time, right? Ha… if I send it like this, will he reply?”
Even right before sending the message, Yeoreum hesitated until the very end.
Shouldn’t I just wait until he contacts me first?
But it didn’t seem like he would ever reach out first.
As she worried that contacting him might even erase the little affection left, her hand, which had been hovering in the air, slipped and pressed send.
“Ah!”
Startled, Yeoreum tried to delete it, but it was already impossible to erase a message once sent.
She had wanted to soften the message because it sounded too direct about wanting to sleep together…
“…No. It’s already sent. Even if he thinks I’m weird, there’s nothing I can do now.”
Holding her phone, her heart pounded at the thought of waiting all day for his reply.
However, only a few minutes later, her phone buzzed.
Thinking it might be him, she immediately checked the screen.
She hadn’t expected much, but there it was—a reply from Sunjae.
[If you want it that much, I should give it to you. Tonight, 8 PM. JM Hotel, Room 2040.]
A meeting with Sunjae was set.
From that moment on, Yeoreum felt like her heart would burst.
Even though she had been the one to say she wanted it, she had never done anything like rolling around on a bed with someone.
She had only seen such things in media, so she didn’t know what to do.
If I satisfy him, maybe he’ll at least consider marrying me…
She tried searching for information, but having never looked into such things before, she didn’t even know where to start.
After searching for a long time, she eventually gave up and knelt down, clasping her hands together.
“Please let me satisfy him today so that he’ll consider marrying me.”
“And even if it’s just like now, please let me keep my place in this family.”
Whenever she felt anxious, whenever she was scolded by Seo Hancheol and Inha, whenever she felt lonely—this was a prayer she had been making for years.
Today, she prayed more desperately than ever.
Hoping again and again that her prayer would reach the heavens.
As the time for the appointment approached, Yeoreum finished getting ready and stepped into the living room to leave.
Inha and Haneul, who were having tea and snacks, made eye contact with her but quickly looked away as if uninterested.
It was nothing new, so Yeoreum smiled and approached Inha.
“Mother, I’ll be going now.”
She bowed her head politely, but Inha remained busy talking with Haneul.
For some reason, Inha’s cold behavior hurt even more today.
She wasn’t just going out—she was going to meet Kwon Sunjae for the sake of the family.
But she must never show such hurt outwardly.
Biting her lip tightly while maintaining a smile, Yeoreum turned toward the front door.
Then Haneul’s voice pierced her ears.
“Ah, Mom. It smells. Something stinks.”
It was clearly directed at her, and tears welled up instantly.
“Really? Then bring some deodorizer and spray it.”
At Inha’s command, a servant came and began spraying.
“Seriously, that’s ridiculous. I’d never marry like that. I’ll marry a man who loves me to death and live happily.”
“Of course. That’s how our Haneul should live.”
Unable to listen any longer, Yeoreum quickly stepped outside.
If she stayed any longer, she felt like she would burst into tears.
After getting into a taxi and giving the destination, the tears she had been holding back began streaming down her cheeks.
The driver, startled by her sobbing, asked what was wrong and kindly handed her tissues, telling her not to cry.
Even a stranger she had just met comforted her like this…
Why do they only say such harsh things to me…?
Until she reached her destination, Yeoreum cried and cried.
Even though she knew her face would be a mess, once the tears started, they wouldn’t stop.
Sunjae, who had arrived at the hotel first, was drinking a glass of wine while waiting for her.
Looking down at the night view of Seoul, he was filled with anticipation of how much Seo Yeoreum would satisfy him.
Should he devour her the moment she arrived, or give her time to prepare herself?
As he pondered, the clock struck exactly 8, and the sound of the doorbell rang.
“Right on time…”
Opening the door, Sunjae stopped mid-sentence when he saw her face.
Her eyes were swollen, and the whites were red with irritation.
Anyone could tell she had been crying.
“You cried?”
“…Ah… no? I didn’t.”
“You did.”
“Why would I cry… there’s no reason…”
She waved her hands, desperately denying it.
Why did that sight irritate him so much?
Staring at her, Sunjae frowned and grabbed her wrist, pulling her into the room.
Dragged inside, Yeoreum leaned weakly against the shoe cabinet.
“Baby, I don’t like people who lie.”
“…Pardon?”
He lifted her chin, meeting her reddened eyes.
“If you’re going to lie, at least make it convincing.”
“Ah… that’s… I…”
“What? Now that you think about it, are you scared of rolling around in bed with me?”
“No! It’s not that at all.”
There was no hesitation in her eyes.
Then it wasn’t that—there must be another reason.
He could roughly guess it without her saying anything.
“Then why did you cry?”
…That has nothing to do with you.
Sunjae’s eyes sharpened, and then he suddenly bent down.
He bit down on her neck.
Startled, Yeoreum trembled.
“Then it’s none of my business.”
A red mark appeared on her pale neck.
“You just have to roll around with me.”
“There’s no need for useless affection between us. Room
